NH Research 4700-18 DC Electronic Load
The NH Research 4700-18 DC Electronic Load is an advanced 18 kW testing solution designed for demanding electronic loading applications. With a maximum current of 3600A and a voltage range of 1 to 120V, it is perfect for evaluating goods related to power conversion and storage, including batteries, telecom rectifiers, and DC power supplies. Applications needing full current at low voltages, quick transient simulation, and thorough internal measurements are ideally suited for the NHR 4700-18.
This versatile electronic load can be controlled remotely using common test programming languages, or manually via its user-friendly GUI with a touch panel. The interface of the touch panel is divided into six tabs, each of which offers comprehensive control and display features for accurate and effective operation. The NHR 4700-18's built-in measures boost testing throughput and save total equipment costs, doing away with the need for extra external instruments like a DMM, power meter, or DSO. For dynamic timing measurements, such as rise time, turn-on time, settle time, and overshoot, these built-in features are quite useful.
Advanced safety features of the NHR 4700-18 include programmed safety limits to guard against potential harm caused by user error, programming error, and internal and external defects. In order to protect the unit under test (UUT), once a safety limit is reached, the load promptly cuts off the output, displays an error message, and stops any further operations. The NHR 4700-18's field expandability is yet another important feature. Because of its modular architecture, it is simple to add more like-modules, increasing the virtual load's capacity for current and power without sacrificing functionality. This feature allows for future testing requirements to be accommodated without necessitating a total equipment overhaul.
NHR 4700-18 features also include synchronized trigger output/input, automatic self-tests for all major functions, continuous performance monitoring, software-based calibration stored in EEPROM, remote sensing with a maximum drop of 2 VDC between sense and load input terminals, and analog control/monitoring capabilities.
